TriGozo Garmin Sprint Triathlon, Wed, 1st May 2019

TriGozo will be hosting its first Sprint Triathlon on 1st May 2019 in the beautiful village of Marsalforn, Gozo in collaboration with Malta Triathlon Federation.

This event is open to triathletes and relay teams for the swim, bike and run. The format of the race will be draft legal. In the case of relays, the team shall be composed of one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner.

Adults Race distances consist of:
750m swim
20km bike
5km run

A Duathlon race for children and youths from 6 to 16 years will also be held on the day. Also open to relay teams for the run and bike.

Participants will be divided into 4 categories:

CAT 1: those born in 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010
CAT 2: those born in 2009, 2008
CAT 3: those born in 2007, 2006
CAT 4: those born in 2005, 2004, 2003

Duathlon race distances per category:

CAT 1: 400m run, 1.5km cycle, 200m run
CAT 2: 1.2km run, 4km cycle, 400m run
CAT 3: 1.6km run, 6km cycle, 600m run
CAT 4: 2km run, 8km cycle, 800m run
